Hello enthusiastic fly fishing friends!

My name is Peter Scheffler I am 53 years old, born near the river of Ätran in Falkenberg, Sweden, famous for the Atlantic Salmon. I started fishing when I was about 5 years old with my dad on the coastline, there I grew up approx. 300 meters from the sea! I fished until I was 17 years old, then I was focused on Karate, competing in several competitions, both in Sweden and other countries until 1993. Finished Karate 1998 and at the same period I was practicing lots of other sports, working as a ski instructor and climbing instructor for several years. After health problems and undergoing some tough operations, with complications, I complete my goals for recovery. I decided to begin fly fishing and dressing flies in the autumn of 1999 and have done so ever since. Today that is my main passion in my Life!

Today I live close to the city of Karlstad with my dear family, near the river of Klarälven (Clear river), famous for its salmon, trout and grayling. I do fly fishing as soon I got the chance. In the fly fishing season I visit my hometown of Falkenberg, searching for Salmon/Seatrout, and fly fishing for grayling near that area I live today and other places as the northern part of Sweden and in Norway and many other places as well!

I dress flies for salmon, seatrout, brown trout, rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling and for Nordic pike. I have participated in several fly-fishing fairs since 2010, 5 -7 each year!
For example, Irish Fly Fair/Galway 2016, Swedish Sport Fishing Fair 2011, 2012, 2013, 2017, Swedish Fly-fishing Fair 2011, 2012, and many small fly fishing fairs since 2010! My signum on those fairs have been my coastal series of seatrout flies and salmon flies.

I wish to participate on other International Fly-fishing Fairs in the future if it’s possible, I like the “atmosphere” on the fairs very much, meeting lots of nice people with the same interest and the passion of – FLYFISHING!

I am looking forward to seeing you ALL at the BFFI 2018!
