I tied my first Pike-flies at the kitchen table at our country house on a small remote island in the archipelago north of Stockholm, this is more than 25 years ago. These flies where tied on hooks for coarse fishing and the flies had a lot of inspiration from tarpon flies. These flies went for a swim at my favorite pike cove later that afternoon and after 30 minutes of fishing I landed my first pike on fly. That 10lb pike chanced my whole life and from that time I have been chasing big pike and other fish with my fly-rod all over the world.
Fly-tying has always been a big part of my life and the goal to optimize the flies when it comes to movement, durability and fishability is a big thing today for me. I have been a big part of the modern tube flies for pike and also the development of new materials and techniques for pike fly–fishing and tying.
Today I live in Stockholm in a house with my wife and our 2 Golden retriever’s, the boat is in the garage always ready for pike fly fishing. For the last 16 years I have been a part owner of the largest wholesaler in fly-fishing in Sweden called Fly-Dressing, tying flies and fly-fishing I try to do as often as possible.
