Painter, illustrator, graphic designer and fly fisherman.
Fly fisherman, fly tyer and fly fishing instructor.
Henk is specialized in the craft of the old/antique full dressed salmon flies.
Henk wrote many stories and articles on fly tying on this subject for as many different magazines.
He didn’t just write about ‘how to’ tie these beautifull flies, but also informed the readership on the unique history or background of various salmon flies.
Henk also wrote quite a number of articles with the starting flytyers in mind.
He informed his ‘pupils’ not only on the basics of tying these flies,
but where necessary he gave extra tips and tricks of the trade or illustrated
in clear drawings how to tie these flies ‘step by step’.
Henks is well known for his flytying features in that gorgeous flyfishing magazine De Nederlandse Vliegvisser (The Dutch Flyfisherman), in which he was in the board of editors for over twenty years
Beside this Henk teaches the noble craft of flyfishing as an instructor at ‘De Nederlandse Vliegvisschool’ (School of Flyfishing) where he
teaches beginners and pupils alike on the noble craft of flyfishing.
You can also meet him either tying flies of giving casting instruction on many shows and fairs.
Shows where the VNV (Vereniging Nederlandse Vliegvissers = Dutch Flyfishing Association) asks him to act as their spokesman and/or instructor.

and many years as art director for IBM the Netherlands.
Now for more than 15 years I have my own Graphic Project Management Office.
Beside he is busy with painting, acryll and watercolours, with a great interest of nature as special birds and landscapes like in Scotland, Ireland and Scandinavia and he is giving education in painting and drawing.
