I live in Aberdeen Scotland and have some wonderfull local rivers to fish for salmon, Dee, Don, Spey, North Esk.
I have been tying fishing flies for about 20 years,in the beginning I started tying flies to fish for salmon,
and they work very well and soon the local fisherman started to hear about the flies that i was tying and started
to ask me to tie flies for them that is how i started to tie flies commercialy.
After a few years of doing that I got interested in what flies were used on the dee and spey in the olden days and thats when my interest
started in classic dee and spey flies.
My love now is to find old dee and spey flies that have never been shown or listed in any of the old books,
and to find out about who invented them and how they were fished.
At the fly fair this year I will be tying classic Dee and spey flies and some of the flies that have worked on the Dee and spey this year.
